The song “Narcotic” is probably one of the best German 90s hits. Set up by Liquido a band from Sinsheim, the song reached the charts in 1999 and was sold more than 8 million times. A great classic!

Music from Germany – Philipp Dittberner // Singer-Songwriter

The Berliner Philipp Dittberner, born in 1990, is part of a huge number of talented upcoming German Singer-Songwriter musicians. First he was known for his remixed pieces, set up by Marv and now released his first solo album in 2015. His song “Das Ist Dein Leben” is actually one of my favourite German songs in 2015 so far:

The german band fon from Leipzig released their first single “YMMB” this week. The fon band are Katharina Helmke, Tim Vollmann and Richiee Syhre. Their single debut is really very interesting, considering great, dreamy deep voices, exploding more and more in the end.

Dunkelbunt, born as Ulf Lindemann in 1979 in Hamburg is a german producer, musician and DJ, who’s now living in Vienna, Austria. Have a listen to his amazing song “The Stojka Empire” featuring Harry Stojka:

Rakede a band from Berlin founded 2006 released a new single with the name “Jetzt gehst du weg ” (Now you are leaving ) a pop piece with Reggae, Hip Hop and Dub influences

Dontana is a singer, songwriter, percussionist and composer from Angola, now living in Bavaria, Germany. After several years of singing in a choir and learning to play new instruments, he created his own sytle of music: a mix of traditional and modern African music.
