The german band fon from Leipzig released their first single “YMMB” this week. The fon band are Katharina Helmke, Tim Vollmann and Richiee Syhre. Their single debut is really very interesting, considering great, dreamy deep voices, exploding more and more in the end.

Music from Palestina – Mohsen Subhi

Mohsen Subhi (arabic: محسن صبحي‎) born in 1963 was a palestinian composer, who died in 2009. Born in Ramallah, he became a master oud player and composer of arabian music. Listen to his nice piece “Oubour”:

 

Music from Sweden – The Glade

The Glade is a folk and americana rock band from Stockholm. They were formed in 2008 by Tobias Gustavsson, Nils Janlöv and Jonas Carping. Later in 2012 the drummer Martin Karlsson joined the band. Their melodic rock is influenced by heavy elements and reminds me a bit of post rock. The released their album ‘What Turns On The Lights’ on Feb 17th 2014. Listen to their nice song “On Our Own”:

Music from Spain – Paco de Lucia R.I.P.

Paco de Lucia, born in 1947, was a great Spanish virtuoso flamenco guitarist from Andalusia. He brought the flamenco from Spain to the world. He is said to have died in the Mexican resort of Cancun as a result of a heart attack on thuesday.Rest in Peace! Listen to his concert live in Pula in 2006:
