Music from the US – Ornette Coleman

Randolph Denard Ornette Coleman (March 9, 1930 – June 11, 2015) was an American jazz saxophonist, violinist, trumpeter and composer. He was one of the major innovators of the free jazz movement of the 1960s, a term he invented with the name of an album. Coleman’s timbre was easily recognized: his keening, crying sound drew heavily on blues music. His album Sound Grammar received the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for music.

Other Jazz musicians called him crazy , here is one of his songs , i know Free Jazz ist not erverybody´s darling ^^

In October 2014 , the movie “Dracula Untold ” starts in Germany , i´ve watched the official trailer and i was really impressed , also by the Trailer theme , a song from Lorde with the title “Everybody wants to rule the world”. As i am a child of the eighties i immediately had a deja vue, i´ve heard this words already and after a short research i found the original song and the lyrics – they have been from a well-known band from the eighties – Tears for Fears released this song in 1985 . TFF singer about this song : “The song has a very serious meaning. It is about people who are hungry for power, and about war and the misery as a effect of it ”

The song has been elected in 1985 to the song of the year in The US .
