Music from the US – Ella Fitzgerald

Ella Fitzgerald(1917-1996), was an US-american jazz and swing singer, also known as the First Lady Of Song. Here’s her wonderful song “Summertime“, from 1940, a real jazz classics, which we listened to last week in our music lesson:

  1. My sister firmly believes that on albums of any kind of music, the best song is always track 8. Every time I made her a cd (single albums or mixes) I made track 8 something from Ella.

  2. If you don’t like this you don’t like music. It’s a amazing how two Jewish guys could capture the American south and black experience in such a short song. Ella may do this the best. I’ve heard other versions and they fall far short of this one.

  3. It’s not only one of my favorite songs, but also one of my favorite singers of all time. Her sensual voice makes you feel so comforted while u try to relax after a long, best listened by candle lights, and a glass of wine. Lucianus
