Oh Ella! She completely melts me…..
mh, she’s really great!
Reblogged this on The Urban Link.
i really like this song!
thanks Marília!
My sister firmly believes that on albums of any kind of music, the best song is always track 8. Every time I made her a cd (single albums or mixes) I made track 8 something from Ella.
haha, great Katie, you’re welcome here!
I love it! I like “Porgy and Bess” and this song is a masterpiece, especially with the voice of Ella…
yeah, her voice is stunning great!
A classic.
thanks Sarahlynn!
If you don’t like this you don’t like music. It’s a amazing how two Jewish guys could capture the American south and black experience in such a short song. Ella may do this the best. I’ve heard other versions and they fall far short of this one.
That’s probably true, she completely owned just about everything she touched. And I love her work with Louie Armstrong.
yeah, like their music!
Thanks Kenton, like your quote “If you don’t like this you don’t like music”, it’s absolutely right!!
It’s not only one of my favorite songs, but also one of my favorite singers of all time. Her sensual voice makes you feel so comforted while u try to relax after a long, best listened by candle lights, and a glass of wine. Lucianus
yeah, she’s so brilliant! Thanks Lucianus, you’re welcome here!!! ;)
