The Parlotones are an indie rock band out of South Africa. They have had great success in South Africa and last year did an extensive US and Europe tour with their latest album Journey Through the Shadows. This Afro-fusion band was formed in Cape Town in 2002. The band members variously hail from South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Freshlyground’s musical style blends elements of traditional South African music (such as kwela and African folk music), jazz and indie rock. Found this nice song from Splash, also known as Dan Tshanda, a South-African musician. I really can’t descripe his music style, but I think it’s a mix of pop, world, afro and reggae with dance music beats… Here’s “Lufuno”:
This band was originally called Bloodmoney but changed their name in 2007 to coincide with the release of their debut album Surviving September. Love their sound and hope they have huge success in the future. Here is their fantastic song “Bring Me Love”.
Nibs van der Spuy is an acoustic guitarist from South Africa. His music is very versatile and he is able to cross pollinate various musical styles, from, African, Classical, Celtic, World, Maskanda, Indian and folk. This is his song “Beautiful Feet”.

They are an alternative rock band formed in 1994 in Cape Town (no nude girls). They were voted Best South African Band in 2000. This is their stunning song “Blue Eyes”.
