Music from the US – The Morning Banders

Hello :-)

The Morning Benders started in 2005 as a solo-project for Chris Chu. During that time, he spent his days studying music at the University of California, Berkeley whilst spending his nights recording songs from a laptop. As time passed, he formed a band with friends who he had met in UC Berkeley.

Music from the UK – Adam and the Ants

my Post Number 400 on world music ^^

Adam and the Ants were a British rock band active during the late 1970s and early 1980s. The original group, which existed from 1977 to 1982, became notable as a cult band marking the transition from the late-1970s punk rock era to the post-punk and New Wave era.Prior to the Ants, Adam Ant (born Stuart Leslie Goddard) played bass in pub rock group Bazooka Joe, now primarily known as the band that headlined when the Sex Pistols played their first concert on 6 November 1975 at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. After witnessing this, Adam quit the band with the intention of forming his own, inspired by the Sex Pistols. (wkipedia ) Adam Ant had yesterday his 58th birthday , here is his song Prince charming performed 2012, do you remember the dance ?? haha :-)

and another one Killer in the Home

Music from the UK – The Human League

The Human league , founded 1977 in Sheffield / England  was one of the first bands which played electronic music , and is still one of the well known bands of the New Wave aera. This title has been a dancefloor hit in the clubs ( and still later on when they remastered it 1982 ) One title, i will never get enough from ” Being Bolied ” ( listed in The Wire’s “100 Records That Set The World On Fire (While No One Was Listening)”)

” Dont you want me “or ” Human ”  have alo been  hits afterwards  , but nothing compares to this song , believe me

Listen to the voice of Buddha
Saying stop your sericulture
Little people like your offspring
Boiled alive for some Gods stocking
Buddha’s watching, Buddha’s waiting

Just because the kid’s an orphan
Is no excuse for thoughtless slaying
People don’t forget this torture
Just because you call her mother
Doesn’t mean that she’s your better

Once more with the voice of Buddha
He’ll say carry on your slaughter
Who cares for the little children
You may slice with no conviction
Blind revenge on a blameless victim

Listen to the voice of Buddha
Saying stop your sericulture
He’ll say carry on your slaughter
Who cares for the little children
You may slice with no conviction
Blind revenge on a blameless victim

Listen to the voice of Buddha
Listen to the voice of Buddha
Listen to the voice of Buddha
