Music from Portugal – Kilindu

Kilindu is a portugese Latin, Latin Jazz , World Music, Fado , Afro Cuban band of six musicians. Pedro Duarte, João Pedreira, Quim Preto, Pantera Pitra, Ivan Pedreira, Tiago Simão conceived a musical bridge across continents from Europe (Portugal), to America (Brazil) and to Africa (Angola).  Now they’ve come together to create their own music, resulting in a very active online fan base working hard to spread the music. It’s their support allowing them to play gigs such as Optimus Alive 2013, where they supported the big bands like of Kings of Leon. Whether it’s Portuguese ‘Fado’ music, Cape Verde’s traditional ‘Morna’, Brazilian ‘Samba’ or Cuba’s ‘Habanera’, it is a blend of Latin jazz and Indie World Music traditions that serves their debut single well and makes them unique. Music from Mexico – Maná

Maná is a pop rock band from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, which already won three Grammy Awards. The were founded in 1978 and play a mix of pop, rock, latin pop with influences from Reggae. Listening to this song often while cycling traing on the home trainer, I thought I’d share it with you to. “Vivir Sin Aire” is so dreamy good!!!

Three years of work, recording at several studios(e.g. Miami, Orlando), with more than 80 professional musicians, in tribute to the King Of Pop: Michael Jackson, who died in 2009.

Tony Succar, born in 1986 in Lima, Peru, is an US-american music producer and indie record label owner who develops this “Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson“. Including great musicians and singers, e.g. Tito Nieves and La India, this awesome album reinterprets Michael Jackson’s 14 greatest hits, as “I Want You Back”, from the Jackson 5, into an amazing mix of tropical pop and latin music. The appeal of this album is to show all the world how beautiful Big Band Orchestration, Latin and Caribbean sound can be, while you’re still remaining true to Michael’s artistic integrity. Maybe so, the latin music audience could increase, if you’re start listening to latin music in familiar textes. Another aim is to unite people, create peace through music and dissolve barriers between all countries on the world. With “Unity” would show us, that all people love music and dance, just as Michael envisioned.
