Elisiane are from Montreal, Canada and are the duo of singer-songwriter Elsienna Caplette and drummer Stephane Sotto.  Their evocative compositions organically blend a pop sensibility with influences that range from classical music through jazz, rock and electronic.  This is “Underhelped” off of their brand new album Mechanics of Emotion.

Great Lake Swimmers are an indie band that formed in 2003.  They have just released their fifth album New Wild Everywhere.  This is the title single off that album.

David Vertesi is also know for his work with indie group Hey Ocean!  His solo work is also fantastic, with a voice “like a rock” or to me something like Leonard Cohen, he is definitely worth listening to.  Here is a great song called “Mountainside”.

Music from Canada – Dan Mangan

Dan Mangan is a Canadian folk/indie singer.  He wrote his fist album at age 20, and started to gain attention in 2009.  He released his fourth album in 2011 and has toured extensively and is on a current tour of Europe.  This is his 2009 single “The Indie Queens are Waiting”.
