Music from the US – Wanda Jackson

Wanda Lavonne Jackson (born October 20, 1937) is an American singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist who had success in the mid-1950s and 60s as one of the first popular female rockabilly singers and a pioneering rock and roll artist. She is known to many as the Queen (or First Lady) of Rockabilly. She has been with Elvis on tour and he gave her the advise to play country instead of rock n roll , really a bad advise if you listen to her songs ^^

An incredible and unique voice , she released a new album in 2011 produced by jack White  with covers from Amy Whinehouse and Bob Dylan and other Rock n Roll Classics.
