Udo Jürgens (born September 30, 1934 in Klagenfurt, Carinthia, Austria; † 21 December 2014 in Münsterlingen, Thurgau, Switzerland), civil Udo Jürgen Bockelmann, was an Austrian composer, pianist  and singer. He died yesterday at the age of 80 years .

Udo Jürgens composed more than 1,000 songs and released more than 50 albums. In his more than sixty year career, he sold over 105 million records , making him  one of the most successful male solo artists in the world.
