O-Zone, active from 1999 to 2005 were a moldovan pop music trio. With their pop and eurodance songs, they had a huge success in Europe. Their single “Dragostea din tei” was a summerhit in germany in 2004 and reached a #1 in more than 10 countries:

Music from Moldova – Zdob si Zdub
Zdob si Zdub a rock group from Chişinău Moldova , whose work for the last several years has combined elements of hip-hop (especially sampling), hardcore punk and comical lyrics with traditionalRomanian folk music. The name is onomatopoeic for the sound of a drum beat. Here is their song “Buna Dimineata” which was released as a bonus to their album Agroromantica in 2001, stylised as a 60s documentary. Contains quite a few moments from authentic documentary films showing Moldova during the USSR rule.
