Music from The UK – Tony Sheridan (RIP)

Tony Sheridan, actually Anthony Esmond Sheridan MacGinnity, (born 21 May 1940 in Norwich, England, † 16 February 2013 in Hamburg, Germany ) was a British musician. In the early 1960s he was one of the founders of the Beat Music.

  1. RIP Tony….I had the privilege of meeting and working with him in the 90’s on ZDF’s ‘Let’s Have a Party’ on German TV. I remember him doing Skinny Minny that day….

      1. I have some private film of backstage that day at ZDF, I’m sure Tony’s on it amongst all the other 60’s and 70’s stars..I’m way from home right now,m but I’ll see what I can find!

  2. I listened to him and the early Beatles already when I was a few years old.
    My favorite was my first single record (1962) “The Saints:

    and on the other side of the record “My Bonnie”:

    These are much better than Skinny Minny, don’t you think?!!!
