Music from the Netherlands – André Rieu and Akim Camara

André Rieu, born in 1949, is a dutch composer and violinist. Akim Camara, born in 2001 in Germany, is a violinist, who began playing in the age of two years. And, the best, here, they are playing together, Rieu as conductor, and Akim as solist with the Johan Strauss Orchestra. Here, they are, at the Flying Dutchman concert, when Akim was 3 years old. Watch the video too, it’s kinda good ;)

  1. Respekt vor André Rieu: er spricht hervorragend Deutsch und er kann serh gut mit Kindern umgehen :)
Und der Kleine, also Akim, ist echt drollig – hat Spaß gemacht, den Clip anzuschauen :)

  2. I grew up playing the piano and violin, and singing, and as much as I love Joshua Bell, André is my favorite simply because he understands how to bring classical music to the masses. I still haven’t seen him, though. Each time he comes to San Diego the cheapest ticket is a couple hundred dollars. I’ll watch him on KPBS or YouTube and save the money.
