Music from the US – Tupac Shakur

Actually, I don’t like rap so much, but Tupac Shakur couldn’t be missing here! He was born in 1971 and died in 1996, when he was shot four times. His songs are about violence and hardship in inner cities, racism and other social problems.  He sold over 75 million music albums, and is one of the most famous hip-hop musicians ever. Here’s his song “Ghetto Gospel“:

  1. I’ve never been a fan of Tupac. But his influence and place in the pantheon of popular music cannot be denied. His music is definitely of historical importance – regardless of my feelings about it. All that to say, I’m glad you included it.
