Described as a format-killer composer, singer and producer with eclectic sensitivity, SCARLETT O’HANNA originates from France where she started to learn the piano at 6 and as a kid grew up listening to The Police, David Bowie, Leonard Cohen, Charles Trenet and Chopin. She forms a band in 2003, Cobson, records one album and plays mostly in France for about 7 years before splitting it up. O’Hanna gets noticed with minimal and mostly instrumental Cheap Bling Bling, first EP under her name, right before leaving France in 2010. She opens for Scout Niblett, Emily Jane White or Laura Veirs and then records 8-track album IMPOSTOR with Rudy Coclet in Brussels. In March 2011 Wilco invites her on a leg of their European tour as their support. While unsigned in Europe, Cocoheart records in Japan releases a special edition album featuring both records.
