Music from the UK – Eric Clapton

Eric Clapton, born in 1945, is an english rock and blues musician, also well known as Slowhand. He is probably one of the most famous musicians of the last 50 years worldwide. Of course, he also won many awards and is ranked 2nd in the Rolling Stones Magazine for the 100 best guitarist of all time. On 12 march 2013, he’ll release a new album called ‘Old Sock’. Music from Germany – Dú Maroc

Dú Maroc, born in 1985 is a german rapper with moroccan roots. His single “One Touch”, featuring Jonesmann is about german childs society problems, which could for example in this song, solved by football. It tells us that everyone can do some great things with his life, if he knows how to deal with his life. Hold on, you’re gonna reach your dreams.

Music from Iceland – Berndsen

Icelandic music evenig, still a classic for me ;) Berndsen is another great pop, electro and dream wave group from this small nordic country. Listen to their awesome good song “Lover in the dark”, my daily special for you. Including a great video too.

Music from Turkey – Cem Karaca

Cem Karaca, born in 1945 was a turkish rock singer who died in 2004. After an military coup in 1980, many intellectuals were arested, and so he left for an exile in Germany. My friend Emre is a big fan of him – for right! Listen to his amazing song “Oh Be”, including the “most turkish” instrument, the saz, or baglama. It’s a bout his wish to come back to his homeland Turkey. But he wasn’t allowed…

Another guitarist this evening! Jon Gomm, a talented guitar player already starting playing the ukulele in the age of two, and playing the guitar with six years. He just uses a single acoustic guitar and creates great sounds with it. Have a listen to his nice piece “Ain’t Nobody”:

Roupa Nova (in english: New Cloths) is a brazilian pop band, who had several hits in the 1980s and 1990s. They formed in the 1970s under the name Os Famks and reached ten #1 singles so far. Here’s their probably most popular song “Linda Demais” in an acousti version. Really like it!!

Eric Bogle, born in 1944 in Scotland is a folk singer-songwriter. In 1969, he emmigrated to Australia. His great song “The Band Played Waltzing Matilda” is in the australian top 30 of all time!
