  1. One of the things I love about this song (in addition to the mouthwatering solos – both the one on the original and the one on the live Hell Freezes Over DVD) – is the very cool ‘reciprocal nod to Steely Dan in the lyrics “They stab it with their Steely knives but they just can’t kill the beast” – following Steely Dan’s namecheck in the song ‘Everything you did’ from their album ‘The Royal Scam’ – “Turn up the Eagles the neighbours are listening” – a great bit of fun between two of America’s greatest bands!

  2. Well… I don’t know if I understand everything that you wanted to tell me, but look, I enjoyed to meet Steely Dan and the song “Everithing you did” :) Thank you!

    • Very true Russel, it happens with so many great songs…it’s why I prefer to listen to ‘Wishing Well’ by Free as opposed to ‘alright now’, and ‘China Grove’ by the Doobies instead of ‘Long train runnin’!
